VIRŠI is currently one of the fastest-growing energy companies in Latvia. The company operates 84 fuel stations, employs more than 900 people across Latvia, and continues to expand its operations both locally and across the Baltic region. At the beginning of 2026, the company’s turnover exceeded EUR 100 million in quarterly turnover, and growth of this scale also requires a working environment that can adapt to the company’s needs.
Alongside fuel retail, VIRŠI is developing its convenience retail concept, food offering, and energy segment, including electricity, natural gas, and biomethane production. As the scale of the company’s operations grows, the rhythm of daily work also changes. The team must work across increasingly diverse business areas, coordinate processes throughout Latvia, host partners, and, at the same time, create a working environment that supports people in their everyday work.
VIRŠI Riga office is currently located at Dēļu iela 4, in MŪKU SALA. This choice is not just a new address within the company’s structure but a well-considered step aligned with the team’s daily needs, convenient accessibility, and the opportunity to create an office that fits the company’s working rhythm.
People are the company’s strength
The company’s growth is driven not only by new business directions but also by people’s involvement, trust, and a working environment where employees have the opportunity to be part of the company’s development.
“An employer’s reputation is shaped by how people feel within the organisation and how they experience the company in their everyday work – through teamwork, communication, employee benefits, and many other aspects. We truly value that the majority of our employees would recommend VIRŠI as an employer to their friends and acquaintances,” says Laura Miezere.
In 2025, VIRŠI was ranked the No. 1 employer in the CV Market employer rankings. This recognition is both a great honour and a significant responsibility towards everyone who sees VIRŠI as a strong and reliable employer.
Three key factors in choosing the office
When choosing new office premises in Riga, the VIRŠI team valued both the address and an environment that matched the company’s daily rhythm and practical needs. The decision in favour of Dēļu iela 4 was based on three main criteria: convenient accessibility by both public transport and car, the availability of support spaces and storage areas, as well as parking.
“One of the most important factors was the support spaces and storage area. In our previous office, this was a practical challenge, so at Dēļu iela 4 we appreciated the opportunity to address these needs in a well-considered way – with convenient access to the basement storage level, support spaces, and infrastructure that supports the company’s daily work,” notes Laura.
Parking availability was equally important. The nature of VIRŠI work involves regular mobility, so the office needed to be located in a place where it is easy to arrive by car and park.
The third criterion was location. When changing offices, it was important for the company to maintain a convenient daily commuting rhythm for employees. The location of Dēļu iela 4 provides convenient access from different parts of Riga and the surrounding area, including Pārdaugava, the city centre, and the direction of Jūrmala, in many cases avoiding the more complicated traffic sections.
An environment shaped around the company’s needs
In the case of Dēļu iela 4, the opportunity to adapt the premises to a specific company’s working rhythm played an important role. For the VIRŠI team, it was important not simply to move to a new office but to create an environment that reflects the team’s everyday work.
“It was important for us that the premises were spacious but, at the same time, structured. We did not want a classic open-plan office. It was important to have glass partitions to maintain transparency while ensuring that each team has its own workspace and privacy.”
Cooperation with the MŪKU SALA team and designer Evija was especially important in this process. VIRŠI sees this cooperation as one of the key stages in creating the office.
“It was one of the greatest values in this process. We were heard – in terms of the layout, the visual concept, and the practical needs,” adds Laura Miezere.
The office environment is also important in attracting employees. Potential employees respond positively to both the office itself and its location, while parking availability is a practical advantage that significantly makes the daily commute easier.
An office that helps the company grow
VIRŠI continues to develop new business directions, so the office must support not only the work of the current team, but also the company’s future growth. When planning the new office, it was important to include reserve workstations for future specialists.
“From the very beginning, we looked at ensuring that the office had reserve workstations. If we need to bring in new employees, we have the opportunity to place them within the existing premises. In the long term, the company is growing, and the office must be able to grow with it.”
The building itself and its technical quality are also important for the company’s long-term needs. The reconstruction of Dēļu iela 4, its energy efficiency, climate quality and well-considered technical solutions help create a working environment suited both to employees’ everyday needs and the company’s further development.
A working environment for the next stage of development
“Dēļu iela 4 is definitely one of the locations worth considering. If a company has its own requirements and wants to create an office that reflects its culture and way of working, it is possible here. The MŪKU SALA team provides a great deal of support throughout this process: from planning and solutions to the ability to recognise what the company truly needs,” says Laura Miezere.
At MŪKU SALA, a company does not have to adapt to a ready-made office solution; it can shape a working environment around its team, daily rhythm, and future development needs. In this case, a well-considered location, practical infrastructure, and an individual approach to space planning help create an office that supports the company’s daily work and future growth.
